Title and Other Searches

We are equipped to conduct your title search "in-house" through the Teranet system using Teraview. This allows us to access all registered documents relating to your new or resale home immediately without having someone attend at the local land registry office to perform the searches. The title search is an integral part in your purchase transaction. We will ensure that there are no registrations which could create a problem for you down the road. These problems could include a construction lien, an undischarged mortgage, and certain types of restrictive covenants or easements. We will also check for tax arrears and arrange for the reading of utilities on closing. Where required, we will check for zoning infractions and the existence of work orders. We will also check for judgments against prior owners of your home to ensure that your ownership does not become subject to any such judgment.
